Sad post today, but this morning our dearest feline friend Gordon passed away. Gordon has been my cat for about 13 years (our cat for about 6) and he filled our lives with love, laughter, sometimes anger and of course lots of random cat craps throughout the house. He often like to do his own thing, but every once in a while he showed how much he loved us back, mostly when he was hungry. In his last couple of years, he became the kitten we always wanted him to be and if you have never seen a 25lb cat run around the house you are missing out. Gordon now rests in the great outdoors, the one place he never got to play. Please leave a comment with your favorite Gordon story as we know there are many. Gordon you were one of a kind and will be missed!

  1. Sorry to hear about your kitty.

  2. I remember going to pick up Gordon – he was a tiny little kitten and at the time Gordon seemed like such a silly name. But then he grew and he grew. He started to fit his name perfectly, a strange personality with the “I don’t give a shit” look in his eyes. And again he grew and grew, now he was “the” cat and strutted around like he owned the place. (actually he had to share it with Nicholas) And he grew and grew and then he moved to his new home and was the king of the castle – that is what he told Mosely. When he wanted to love you he did it with all his being and when he didn’t, he had a way of making you feel like it was your fault.
It is always hard to lose a friend and Gordon in his way was that. Thanks for the memories.

  3. I remember when Jason put in the cat door for Gordon to go to his litter box and Gordon couldn’t fit through the door.
Oh Gordon, you sure did have some junk in your trunk, but we loved you regardless!
Sorry for your loss Clarke Family.

  4. Sorry to hear about Gordon passing away. We are going to miss all the funny stories of his activities, like going on the potty. He is in Kitty Heaven now…..

  5. I remember when Gordon took a nap in Jason’s closet and then woke up under a hanging dress shirt. He tried to escape by climbing up the shirt and through the sleeve (long sleeve) but got stuck as the sleeve narrowed.

I also remember the time he thought someone was chasing him around the coffee table so he kept running (but really he was just chasing himself). He had to jump up on the table before he figured it out.

I also remember the time just a few weeks ago when he was feeling playful and decided to attack Mosely!

There are so many funny Gordon stories! He was a great kitty and I will miss him.

  6. That’s a touching post Jason. Gordon would be touched I’m sure.

  7. Sorry buddy, I will always remember the way Gordon kept me company in the bathroom. The way he would take up the entire sink while washing your hands or even sticking his head in the toilet just to see what was going on. I’ll miss you buddy!!!

  8. J.Clarkey im so sorry to hear about Gordon. You know how i loved me a big fatty cat. The post above me stole my favourite moment. The awkward uhhh is this cat really going to watch me go to the bathroom. While i only had the honour of meeting him a few times i will always remember biggy if not because he was so aweasome but because he left orange fur all over my black clothes.
